Speakers and Topics: Our preliminary list of Speakers and Topics has just been announced.
$1 Principles Course: Seminar attendees who are direct employees of a railroad or transit can get the Principles Course for a buck!

The first Wheel/Rail Interaction Seminar was presented in 1994. It was based on a simple idea – to create a forum for track and mechanical people to meet, exchange ideas, and share their experiences in the critical area of the wheel/rail interface. Since then, we’ve enhanced and refined the conference, always evolving to bring attendees information from the leading edge of the industry.



Changing With The Times
Each year we have added to the depth and breadth of the content presented, and this year's conference follows in this tradition. As a seminar attendee, you can expect to gain insight into how specific products and services fit into the “big picture,” while furthering your overall knowledge of the wheel/rail interface. It is also an excellent opportunity to get an up-close look at issues outside your area of expertise and get to know professionals from the “other side of the tracks” - and our popular Panel Discussion Session offers insight into the state of the industry and the challenges ahead.

Three Events in One Location
This year brings another significant change. In the past, Wheel Rail Seminars has produced a separate event specifically for the Rail Transit Industry. We now will offer the Rail Transit Seminar as part of the Wheel/Rail Interaction Conference schedule. Rail Transit Seminar attendees now have the option to experience the popular Principles Course!

Registration for each event (Rail Transit Seminar, Principles Course and Heavy Haul Seminar) is priced separately, allowing you to register and pay for exactly the event(s) you want to attend. Combined event discounts are available to all attendees and Direct employees of Railroads and Transit Organizations qualify for deeper discounts and may be eligible to attend the Principles Course for just $1.00 - a $200.00 value.

Addressing The Issues
This year’s agenda covers many key issues facing vehicle and track engineering managers today. While the presentations are still in the development phase we invite you to review some of the important issues explored at the 2008 seminar: Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Braking, New Methods of Evaluating Trucks and Components, and Performance Monitoring to name just a few.

Wheel Rail Seminars is offering several discount points for the events this year. All attendees registering for more than one event automatically qualify for our Combined Event Discounts. Our Employee Discount is an exciting new program created exclusively for direct employees of railroads and transits.

Combined Event Discounts (Open Rate Card)

When registering for more than one event you will automatically receive discounted pricing. For example: attendees registering for the Heavy Haul or Rail Transit Seminar will save $225* when adding the Principles course. Those registering for all three events (Rail Transit Seminar plus Principles Course plus Heavy Haul Seminar) will save $420* when compared to registering for the same events individually.
*When compared to individual event pricing on the Open Rate card.

Employee Discount Program (Employee Rate Card)

This new level of discount is designed specifically for those attendees directly employed by a railrod or transit. Consultants, suppliers and others working for railroads and transits, but not directly employed as a staff member do not qualify for this program.
