Enrico Betterle
Product Manager - Wheelset Monitoring Equipment Development and Data Analysis

Biography: Enrico Betterle is a Telecommunication Engineer with a strong railway background and 15 years of experience with international projects. Hi is currently the Product Manager of the Wheelset Monitoring Equipment Development and Data Analysis department. Enrico has contributed to develop several systems and projects, either in charge with Product Management or Project Engineering, including:
- a non-contact Wheel Profile Measuring System;
- FleetWare Web-based measurement visualization and predictive analysis system for the implementation of Condition Based Maintenance for wayside diagnostic systems;
- a Rail Corrugation Measurement System;
- Design and prototyping of U-Rail demonstrator, a system based on laser ultrasound generation to identify defects inside the rails in place;
- Design, production, installation and commissioning of Wheel Surface Defect Detection System, for identifying defects on the rolling surface of railway wheels.
- Design, production, installation and commissioning of Brake Lining Wear Measurement System, for measuring the wear of railway brake system lining.
Enrico is also a member of the European workgroup for Rolling Stock Products CEN-TC256- SC2.
