Arthur Clouse

Biography: Mr. Clouse has nearly forty-five years in railroad construction, maintenance, and safety. Since 1982, he served as a state and federal railroad safety inspector and currently, railroad safety specialist at the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration, in the Office of Railroad Safety, Office of Technical Oversight (Track Division) headquartered in Washington, DC. He has nationwide responsibilities for 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 213 of the Track Safety Standards includingrulemaking, uniform application and interpretation, and compliance. Mr. Clouse is a longstanding member of AREMA Committee 2—Track Measuring Systems and serves as co-chair of the Rail Safety Advisory Committee, Track Safety Standards Working Group.
