Biography: Alvin Law is Data Systems Engineer - Transportation, at AECOM Canada. He is a professional engineer skilled in a variety of simulation modelling and data analysis techniques used to study, validate, and plan transportation systems, specializing in rail.

Alvin has been involved in simulation modelling in various fields throughout his 10-year career. Beginning with optics/photonics simulation for a small start-up, he transitioned to bulk transport, providing capacity analysis and logistics for rail networks, vessel fleets, pipelines, truck haul, and terminal operations. He has also performed software validation for ATC in metro systems. Currently, he is using rail vehicle dynamics software to analyze and predict passenger comfort along the GO Transit corridors in Ontario, Canada.

Alvin holds a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics and a M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering (haptic interaction in virtual environments).
