BNSF has been using resilient material in various applications for many years to reduce impacts and maintenance cycles. In the last 10 years we have been testing and using resilient materials in both special trackwork and open track to a much greater extent. This presentation will cover some history, current applications, testing, and how we plan to use these materials in the future to provide a safer and more efficient track structure.
